Portals
Attendee Portal
The Attendee Portal is where registrants manage their own registration after they sign up. It is a separate, attendee-facing site (not the planner shell): attendees sign in with their email, see their events, and use self-service tools for the event they registered for. The event page shows the attendee's ticket type on the Ticket & pass card.
Signing in
Attendees enter their email address and Forge emails them a sign-in link — there is no password to remember. To avoid revealing who is registered, the confirmation message is the same whether or not the email matches a registration. Registrants who are Contacts or Person Accounts are both supported.
What attendees can do
- Registration — see their ticket and details, and show their check-in QR code at the entrance; add the pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet where available.
- Agenda and My Sessions — see available sessions, add or remove themselves, join a session waitlist, and swap one session for another where the event allows it.
- Profile — edit the registration questions the organizer left open for editing; editing closes when the organizer locks it.
- Balance — view and pay any remaining amount on their order, if a payment method is configured for it.
- Refund request — submit a request with a reason for the organizer to review. No refund is issued until the organizer approves it.
- Cancel registration — cancel their own registration after confirming; this cannot be undone.
- Change or transfer a ticket — switch to a different ticket (any price difference is shown before anything is charged or refunded) or transfer it to another person, who receives their own registration.
- Communication preferences — opt out of event emails or texts and review the emails sent to them.
- Waitlist — see their position and accept or decline a seat offer before it expires.
Sections that appear only when the event uses them
The portal shows a section only when it applies to the attendee's event: Webinar (join a virtual session), Post-Registration form, Waitlist, Groups, Add-ons (purchase extra items), Materials (downloads and certificates), Guest ticket (add a guest and pay), Meetups, and Accommodations questions.
Attendees only ever see their own registrations. The portal identifies them from their signed-in session, never from anything typed into a page, so one attendee cannot open another's registration.
What organizers control
Which tools an attendee sees depends on the event's configuration — for example whether a webinar, post-registration form, add-ons or a waitlist exist, and whether post-registration purchases are enabled for the event. Refund requests are reviewed by organizers in Admin > Refund Requests.
