Portal Admin

Portal Admin is one screen (Admin > Portal) with four tabs — Preview, Brand & logo, Portal messages and Access — that control what attendees, speakers and sponsors see and how they sign in: previewing a portal, setting its branding, posting messages and resources, and finding the portal login details. Custom domains for public pages are managed separately under Vanity Domains.

Portal Preview

Portal Preview shows, for each portal type (attendee, speaker and sponsor), whether the portal is available to real visitors, the route a visitor actually lands on, and a live preview of your configured branding.

  1. Open Portal Preview and choose an event under Event scope (search by name).
  2. Read each portal's status: Available, or Doesn't exist for visitors. Real visitors get a 404 until the unified portal beta is turned on; a banner tells you when it is off for your workspace.
  3. Under Record, select a record to view the portal as, then use the preview action for that portal.

The record picker stays disabled until you select an event, and it only lists records from that event.

Portal Branding

Portal Branding sets the logo, colors and fonts used in portals. Use Scope to choose a Portal (All portals, or Attendee, Speaker, Sponsor, Donor, Bidder, Hub) and an Event (All events, or one event found with Search events).

  • Logo: Upload or Remove a logo, and set its Alt text and Favicon URL.
  • Colors: Primary, Accent, Background, Surface, Text and Border.
  • Fonts: Body and Heading.
  • Preview: check the result in Light and Dark mode before you rely on it.
  • Reset: clears the overrides for the selected scope. Saved, Save failed and Reset messages confirm each action.

Each value shows where it comes from: Portal override, Page Designer, Event Settings or Forge default. A portal override you set here is the most specific source.

Portal Messages

Portal Messages lets you post announcements and resource links that sponsors and speakers see in their portals.

  1. Choose the Type: Message or Resource.
  2. Choose the Audience: Sponsors, Speakers or Everyone.
  3. Enter a Subject (required) and a Body. For a Resource, also enter the Resource URL (required) and a Link label.
  4. Optionally enter an Event ID. Leave it blank to post for all events.
  5. Select Post.

Posted items appear in a list with Type, Audience, Subject and Date. Use Delete on a row to remove it; once deleted, sponsors and speakers no longer see it.

Vanity Domains

Vanity Domains lists the custom hostnames configured for your organization. Enter a Hostname (for example give.example.org) and select Add Domain.

Removing a vanity domain immediately breaks public traffic on that domain and can't be undone. You are asked to confirm before it is removed.

Access

The Access tab, titled Portal login, shows what your portal users need to sign in: your Org code, the Portal login URL and, when available, a Direct login link. Each has a copy button. You can set a Custom org code of 4-20 letters or numbers; if the code cannot be loaded or saved, the tab shows an error and the previous code stays in place.
