Event Tour
Event Content
Event Content is where you keep the files and links you want to share with attendees for an event, such as documents, handouts and the venue map. Open it from the event's manage area.
The list
The Event Content list has columns for Name, Category, Format, Type, Venue Map and Download. Search filters by name, category or type, and column headers sort the list. The list shows 20 rows at a time, with more available on request. When there is nothing yet, it shows "No content yet. Add resources to share with attendees."
- Rows that have a file or link show a download icon that opens it in a new tab.
- A row flagged as the venue map shows a "Venue map" badge.
- Rows with the type "Custom Content" open in the event designer's custom content editor. All other rows open a detail page.
Add content
- Choose Add Content.
- Enter a Name (required) and optionally a Category.
- For URL, choose Link and paste the address, or choose Upload a file and pick a file.
- Optionally fill in Format, Type and Description.
- Turn on "Show in Navigator mobile app" if attendees should see it there.
- Save. You see "Content saved" and return to the list.
Uploaded files can be PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, image, text or zip, up to 25 MB. Files you upload are publicly downloadable by anyone with the link. If the upload fails with a message about public file sharing, ask your Salesforce admin to enable it for the org.
Edit or delete
Open a row to see its details or edit it. The edit page lets you change the name, category and description, replace the file, and change whether it shows in the Navigator mobile app. Deleting asks you to confirm because it permanently removes the content record.
Venue map
Choose Venue Map on the list to manage the floor plan shown in Navigator. You can upload a PNG, JPEG, WEBP or PDF up to 10 MB, or pick "Use an existing file" from your other event content files with "Use as venue map". Once a file is flagged you can Edit it, replace it, or Unflag it.
- "Show on Navigator" controls whether the map appears in Navigator. If it is off, the map stays editable here but is not shown there.
- Pin placement is not available. Navigator shows the image only.
